We are very lucky at Liberty Luxe Liberty Green to have an amazing rooftop with spectacular views and BBQ Grills for our summer grilling delights. We know our neighbors have “grill envy” and quite honestly, we are ok with that!
But in the event, you can’t secure a BBQ time slot on the roof, the West Village has a new burger bar to celebrate and we are actually quite curious. People have been talking a lot about this one.
Finally! Umami Burger Comes To New York!
Sure, it seems like a new dining establishment pops up nearly every few weeks in New York City. With the constant openings and closings and general turnover of the restaurant business, it can be hard to stay on top of the good, the bad and the “what were they thinking” reviews of new places to try. But we’ve actually been waiting quite patiently on this particular restaurant to make its New York debut, and alas — it has finally arrived, just like the royal baby! (Although the restaurant with far less fan fair!)
From the West Coast to its latest location in New York City’s West Village, Umami’s gourmet burgers are something of a legend. What makes Umami special and unique to the other dozens of burger joints we frequent?
Its simple but robust enough menu doesn’t overwhelm us with too many choices. We’re talking roughly 10 burgers, including a truffle burger, a tuna burger, and selections that have been custom crafted for New York palettes, like a duck burger and a French-dip sandwich. The restaurant boasts 128-seats and the two-story space is now open, including a full bar. After dinner when you’re feeling full and happy- you can stroll back home to Liberty Luxe Liberty Green and tell the folks on the rooftop who didn’t invite you to their BBQ all about your delicious experience!
